All the sounds in this piece were recorded in Waterville, Maine in June 2017. As the name suggests, this town is surrounded by water (rivers, lakes) and is fairly close to the Atlantic ocean.
I used a Zoom H1 digital recorder, and utilized Ableton Live 9 to manipulate the sounds with Waves plug-ins and the Ableton Sampler.
Below you can hear each of the original sound files followed by the manipulated version(s) of it (some files were utilized and manipulated multiple times to obtain different sounds). In all cases, just a section of the original file was utilized.
